Wind Energy Turbine Technician Training

All courses meet or exceed ANSI Z490.1, ASSE, NATE, NIOSH, AWEA standards.

Course Duration:
Typically presented 8-10 hours in a single day or 16 hours over two days dependent on training desired.

Cost:
$250 per student for single day / $550 per student for two days of training (additional instructor travel costs may apply)

Class size:
Minimum-8 / Maximum-24

Course Objectives:
The baseline objective is to increase occupational safety standards and awareness.

Topics to be covered include:

  • PPE
  • Rapid Descent Control Device training (F4/ATS)
  • Angled Rescue
  • Casualty Pickoff in a Vertical Environment
  • Basic Self-Rescue
  • Group Rescue Tactics
  • Rescue Rigging for the Horizontal and Vertical

We approach our training with a hands-on approach working at your site. We have traveled across the country to offer our workshops and will come to your location to devise site-specific rigging solutions.

We are the largest company of certified F4 trainers in the USA, as well as the only providers of certified training on the ATS device.

Location:

Instructors:
We have recruited the best instructors in the industry and brought them together to offer up-to-date industry accepted training.

Itinerary:
This course is an intensive schedule mixing classroom and many hours of in-harness time. Participants are expanded to be on-site for 8-10 hours each day.

Certification:
This course includes an ATS Certification that is valid for a two year period. Participants are encouraged to re-take the full course every 24-36 months to refresh on existing skills and learn new techniques.

Included:
This course includes the use of all technical gear as well as a discount on future gear purchases for a 6 month period from Rescue Response Gear.

Not Included:
The course tuition does not cover travel to the course location, accommodations (discounted hotels are nearby), or meals.
